Farm Succession Planning
Do you have a farm plan for retirement? Are your heirs going to take on the family farm business or is someone willing to buy it? There are many pieces of the puzzle to consider when planning for the future, but knowing your options and strategies for laying the groundwork are important to understand early on. In this half-day workshop, we will hear from three farmers who offer different perspectives on farm transition, from developing a 10-year plan that includes their children to planning for retirement and transferring farm ownership outside the family. Business and legal professionals will join the conversation to offer expertise about options and considerations across multiple models. Even young farmers can benefit from this important discussion.
