You’re a creator. You’ve always been good with your hands. The thrill of manifesting an object from your imagination is what gets you out of bed in the morning but marketing your business online? Not so much. Maybe you’ve already embraced Instagram but your reach is being tanked by algorithms and it’s not actually driving visitors to your site. Besides, your followers are already familiar with your brand. You need new customers and a place to get in front of them. Well, the good news is that there is a place, and it’s called Pinterest.

Pinterest might be for you if you’re frustrated by your declining Instagram reach, you wish you could spend more time making instead of engaging on social media, or feel like you spend so much time producing quality content for it to be irrelevant after 30 minutes of posting.  Maybe it’s time to give your content more legacy so you can get back to creating.

Selling on Pinterest workshop is part of the Craft Your Commerce Spring 2022 Workshop Series Beyond the Studio: Next Level Digital Marketing.

Andrea Li is a maker turned marketer.

She’ll give you boots-on-the-ground Pinterest marketing tips and beyond explicitly tailored for makers. She understands that marketing strategies are not one size fits all, especially when it comes to handmade products.

Her marketing roots are grounded with independent makers like her. She has coached dozens of designers who own small-batch product businesses as one of the expert coaches through Flourish and Thrive Academy.

She has worked with multiple internal Pinterest development teams, influencing the functionality of new features, and been invited to Pinterest headquarters twice to participate in their Creators Conference. Additionally, she was invited to be a presenter at their annual employee conference Knit Con to speak on her jewelry business.

This year, she is partnering with Pinterest to launch The Pinterest Business Community Pioneer Program to assist other creators on the platform to get the most out of their Pinterest marketing efforts.

She continues to coach students who are makers while she continues to build her jewelry brand. Her new project Red Pin Geek is meant to provide other makers with actionable tips to help them set up a passive marketing channel through Pinterest.
